Megan Baron, LCMHC

I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I have been providing therapy in the greater Charlotte area since 2018.
I want to help my clients navigate their unique challenges by utilizing evidence based practices.
I do this by assessing the clients needs, then using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) or Narrative Therapy.

We are complex humans, therefore we cannot simply just look at one aspect of a person. Therefore, I take a holistic approach to wellness by addressing mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and vocational issues as core pieces of the client’s life.

"Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it’s our greatest measure of courage.”

-Brené Brown

Outside of the office space, I love to explore my city and surrounding areas. I have been born and raised in the state of North Carolina and I truly love it. The beach and mountains 3 hours away, I call that a win.
Though neither my husband and I are originally from Charlotte, we have been here since undergrad at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and thus feel like real Charlotteans. If we are not finding new places to eat, then we are outside walking the green-way, rail trail or at the playground with our two kiddos.

If my nose is not in a sci-fi or fantasy book, then I am probably watching Survivor (yes, that show is still on TV).
