Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
I am in network with Aetna and BCBS. If you are out-of-network, I can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I'm happy to talk through what this looks like before we get started.
Do you offer virtual sessions?Yes. I offer both in person sessions at my Concord, NC office and virtual sessions for clients anywhere in North Carolina. We can figure out what works best for you.
Do you work with teens?
Yes. I work with teen girls (typically 13+) as well as college age and adult women. If you're a parent reaching out on behalf of your teen, I'd love to connect with you first before bringing your daughter in.
What's your approach to therapy?Warm, direct, and a little bit fun. Yes, fun! I show up as a real person in the room, not a clipboard holding note taker.. I work from an ACT and DBT foundation, which means we work on your relationship with your thoughts, not just the thoughts themselves. But the framework always follows you, not the other way around. You bring you. I bring me. We figure it out together.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're asking the question, that's usually a good sign. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If something feels off, heavy, or like it's time to deal with some things. I'd love to talk.
Do you offer a free consultation?Yes. A free 15 minute phone call to see if we're a good fit. No commitment required. You can book directly through my online scheduler. Don’t see a time that works, email me!
